January 1, 2023 marks the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the People's Republic of China and the Republic of South Africa. On the day, Consul General Fei Mingxing made a special tour to the Nelson Mandela Capture Site, paying tribute to Mr. Nelson Mandela.

The establishment of the diplomatic relations has brought tangible benefits to the both countries, Fei Mingxing said.The bilateral trade volume has increased from $1.4 billion in 1998 to $54.35 billion in 2021. China has been South Africa’s largest trading partner for 13 years. While cherishing the good memories, we must make new contributions to promoting friendly cooperation and building a community of shared future for the two peoples, he added.
