On 9 April, Consul General Li Zhigong met with Mr. Buthelezi, Member of the Executive Council of KwaZulu-Natal and MEC for Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs, at the Consulate-General. The two sides exchanged views on developing sister-city relations between KwaZulu-Natal and China, as well as on sharing experience in poverty alleviation and disaster reduction.
